Ultimately, the Canon 60D is built for a different market. Canon has long since lured many serious 50D shooters to the 7D and 5D Mark II; now it appears their goal is to lure the Rebel shooters to the Canon 60D and more directly compete with the Nikon D90. That's probably just the right strategy. Most of the important features from the 7D and T2i are included in the Canon 60D, as well as the audio level control from the 5D Mark II and the swivel screen from the Canon G11. It seems like every Canon line has contributed a little something to Canon's entry-level prosumer digital SLR, and the results are quite good.

Conclusions
So now, for the first time, we have three APS-C cameras which differ only in features. The intrinsic, RAW, image quality of the T2i, EOS 60D and EOS 7D are for all practical purposes the same. However the EOS 7D AF system is better than the 60D AF system which is in turn better than the Rebel T2i AF system. Similarly the EOS 7D has a higher frame rate than the EOS 60D, which is in turn faster than the Rebel T2i. I won't list all the features and custom functions, but again the EOS 7D has more than the EOS 60D, which has more than the Rebel T2i. All three shoot 1080p HD video, have a jack for an external stereo microphone and allow full manual control over ISO and exposure, though only the 60D has manual control of audio level.

In some ways the Canon EOS 60D has moved a little closer to the digital rebel line than the previous Canon EOS 50D. A few of the more "professional" features have been dropped, like AF microadjustment and PC flash connection though I suspect that the vast majority of 50D owners have never used either of these features. The SD/CF card issue is really a non issue from a practical point of view since SD cards are now fast and cheap enough that even if you have a large CF card collection it won't break the bank to buy a few SDHC cards.

Which one to chose depends on your budget. The only exception to that would be if you are mainly buying the camera to shoot video. In that case I'd go for the new EOS 60D simply because of the articulated LCD screen which does make shooting video easier. The articulating LCD screen is something I'd expect to see on most new EOS DSLRs from now on, except perhaps for the lowest priced entry level rebel.

I expect the EOS 60D to sell well and from my brief time with it (about an hour) it seems to be a camera I can certainly recommend. If you do a lot of action work (especially outdoors), the EOS 7D with it's higher frame rate, improved weathersealing and 19 AF zones might be a better choice, but for the average serious amateur the EOS 60D has just about every bell and whistle you could want.

The only think lacking is continuous AF in movie mode. Sony have just introduced two new cameras, the alpha A33 and alpha A55 which do offer continuous phase detection AF in movie mode. However to achieve this they had to use a fixed semi-reflective pellicle mirror (such as Canon used in the EOS RT film camera), plus they had to give up optical reflex viewing and use an electronic viewfinder. Perhaps Canon will do something similar in time, though I personally wouldn't be too enthusiastic about an EVF camera with no optical reflex viewing. A fixed mirror would also need some mechanism to allow for sensor cleaning unless the entire mirror box, shutter and sensor were a sealed unit.

For a camera that does dual duty for still and video photography, I think the EOS 60D is hard to beat right now, especially at a price of only $1099.00.

از لحاظ ویدیو دو برتری عمده بر 7D دارد: یکی LCD اش و دیگری کنترل Manual صوتی اش ( اگر درست متوجه شده باشم بر خلاف 7D دارای کنترل کامل دستی بر روی ورودی صوتی است). یعنی شاید از لحاظ ویدیو بهترین دوربین کنن تا امروز باشد.

اما واقعا دوربین فیلمبرداری بدون LCD چرخان، ناقص است. بدون LCD چرخان، فیلمبرداری در بسیاری از مواقع عذاب الیم خواهد بود. خوشحالم که Canon این رسم را در دوربینهای سطح بالای خودش پایه ریزی کرد و امیدوارم بقیه هم یاد بگیرند.

سیاست‌های کنون گاهی عجیب به نظر میاد!
auto iso با قابلیت تنظیم max iso و min shutter speed به نظر من پارامتر بسیار ضروری‌ای هست. کنون این آپشن رو در 5D MII اضافه کرد (البته با تفاوت‌هایی نسبت به نیکون)، در 7D قرار نداد و حالا در رده‌ای پایین‌تر از 7D یعنی 60D دوباره این امکان رو قرار داده!
با هیچ منطقی نمی‌تونم تفسیر کنم!!

میشه بیشتر توضیح بدیدن , من که روی 5DII این آپشن رو ندیدم !!!!

برای اولین بار به هندلینگ کنون امیدوار شدم. زمانی که 50d رو دستم گرفتم کاملا نا امید شدم ! اما توی این دوربین قوس های خوبی داره و از حالت تپلی (که آقا وحید بدشون اومد :biggrin:) اون واقعا خوشم میاد. این قضیه Max ISO واقعا عالیه.

واقعا خوشحالم که شکل دکمه ها از مربع و دایره ای های شصت قرن پیش یکم شکل دار شده.

نمی دونم قبلا گفتم یا نه! اما منتظر دوربین هایی هستم که بشه برای تک تک تنظیماتش مثل ایزو و سرعت شاتر و ... برنامه ریخت که اولویت با کدوم باشه و محدودیتش چقدر باشه.

قدرت نیکون رو می بینید؟ کنون رو به سمت خودش جذب کرد و کاری کرد که دوربینش رو نزدیک به دوربینش کنه (شوخی کردم ، نزنید)

هدف كنن شكست دادن دشمن فرضي نبوده.
به نظر من بزرگترين هدف كنن, معرفي يك فوق 550 دي وسوسه كننده براي مجاب كردن 450دي داران و مدلهاي قديميتر به آپگريد است. مانند معرفي 7دي كه خيلي از 40 و 30 داران را مجاب كرد.
بسيار هم هوشمندانه اين كار را انجام داده است. نه در ظاهر چيزي نسبت به 7دي كم گذاشته و نه در بكارگيري امكانات جديد ولخرجي كرده است. از مموري اس دي گرفته تا وزن و ابعاد و قيمت همه مويد اين واقعيت است

باید منتظر نمونه ها و نظرات کاربران بود...اما اونچه که مسلمه اینه که بالاخره کنون به هندلینگ رده های پایینتر توجه نشون داد که خبر بسیار خوبیه...بعضی از slr like های باقی برندها بهتر از xxxd ها توی دست جا میگیرن.

ولخرجی چرا؟! این روش و سیاست تولید کننده هاست که فقط به فکر فروشند بدون اینکه امکانات بهتری را رو کرده باشند و اونها رو نگه دارند که بتوانند بدنه بعدی رو بفروشند دوباره....
