The lens range of the Leica S2 is as yet very limited and does not stretch very gently. The question about the adaptability of the medium format lenses stood there very quickly and so many haunts Eastern adapter model for months through online auctions.
Now, Leica Camera has developed its own three foreign lens adapter, which are made of anodized aluminum and chrome-plated brass.
Specifically, there are three versions:
S-V adapter for lenses of the Hasselblad V system
S-P67 adapter lenses for the Pentax 67 system
S-adapter for lenses of the Mamiya M645-645 system
Using the S-adapter can be used external lenses to Leica-S cameras, the lens range can be extended, for example, also special lenses like the Schneider-Kreuznach PC TS Apo-Digitar 5,6 / 120 mm HM Aspheric Tilt & Shift . However, transfers of the respective adapter no mechanical or electrical functions, signals or data between S-Leica camera and lens, and that means working with working aperture.
The third lens adapter will be
available in August 2011 for each € 580 (RRP) in specialist shops.
