بررسی این لنز در فتو زون ؛ بهانه ای شد برای بازکردن تاپیک برای این لنز خوشنام و پرطرفدار اُولی

* تقریبا ً نقش 200-70 برندهای کنن و نیکون را برای اولمپوس بازی میکند, بوکه خوبی دارد ولی شاید نه به خوبی 200-70 ها

بدنه آن هم در برابر رطوبت و گرد و غبار مقاوم است. قیمتش هم در بازار ایران فکر میکنم حدود 1150-1100 باشد.

به نظرم یک ایراد این لنز Internal Zoom نبودنش است که روی 200 م.م طولش 1.5 برابر میشود :(

Verdict
The Olympus Zuiko 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 ED SWD is an obvious choice for those looking for an upgrade from their Zuiko 40-150mm f/4-5.6 or Zuiko 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6. The Olympus lens does certainly shine regarding its very good resolution capabilities throughout the zoom range. Distortions as well as CAs are well controlled. The vignetting is a bit on the high side at max. aperture but it's not a real problem either. A certain weakness is the quality of the bokeh (out-of-focus blur) in critical situations. However, to be honest many zoom lenses in this range have problems here as well.
The build quality of the Zuiko is exceptional. Typical for an Olympus "Pro" grade lens it does even feature a sealing against dust and moisture. Thanks to Olympus' new SWD the AF speed is significantly improved over its predecessor. All in all a highly desirable lens.

Pros:

* very solid, dust/splash proof barrel,
* very good picture quality at all focal and aperture range in the frame center,
* good frame edge picture quality,
* well corrected chromatic aberration,
* low distortion,
* average coma,
* vignetting properly reined in,
* autofocus silent and accurate.

Cons:

* noticeable astigmatism,
* average work against the light,
* autofocus can get lost in worse lighting.

Looking at the list of pros and cons of the tested Olympus and other 70-200 mm f/2.8 lenses, produced by Canon or Nikon, we see that the Olympus fares a bit worse. Is this a serious problem? I don’t think so. Don’t forget that the ZD 50-200 mm costs just about 1100 $ so still within range of advanced amateur photographers. The list of its advantages is really impressing and everybody who decides to buy it will get highly satisfactory results for sure.

One question that remains to be explained is the independent manufacturers’ offer. There is another Four Thirds lens already available: a very promising Sigma 70-200 mm f/2.8, around 300 $ cheaper than the Olympus and a bit faster. If only the Tamron 70-200 mm f/2.8 had a Four Thirds mount and could work on an Olympus, the Four Thirds users would have a really interesting choice and more competition would also mean lower prices.

لازم به ذکر است اولمپوس یک 200-50 دیگر نیز قبل از این لنز تولید میکرد که فقط موتور فوکوسش SWD (Supersonic Wave Drive AF system) نبود.
