یکی از کاربران سایت dpreview ادعا کرده که نیکون برای دوربین D700 جایگزین خارق العاده ای با رزلوشن 16 مگاپیکسل و امکان تعویض سنسور رو معرفی خواهد کرد. همچنین ادعا شده که این دوربین از لحاظ عملکرد در ایزو های بالا از تمام دوربین های موحود بهتر خواهد بود.

Here is the news for all the world to know: The D800 (not the D4) will have a sensor carriage that can be easily removed by an authorized dealer.
The D800 will have a 16.4MP FX Nikon designed sensor. By September 2011 Nikon will have the first available replaceable sensor available.
It will be a B&W 12MP sensor that will offer better sharpness and detail due to lack of the typical Gaussian filter. Another big plus will be the large range of digital filters for B&W photography. From tests so far, Nikon is very pleased that the new sensor will have the most amazing ISO performance the world has ever seen. There's also some special filters for UV and IR and other specialised fields in industry.
The D800 will also have a 3.3" screen with built in collapsible hood.
The D800 will be compatible with the MB-D10 plus the new MB-D10i
Shutter speeds of 1/16000sec and a new technology for very long exposures without noise or extra time.
Better AF in video mode with proper Full HD video at 120fps

The technical specifics are more are less as to be expected, I guess. +-20mp, full HD video, 100% viewfinder, etc. The really interesting stuff is how the camera will actually perform – High iso noise? Dynamic range? We all have to wait and see…
I was told to expect to get it by late summer. D800 will be the second pro grade body this year I was told and shipment will start about two months after the first one. (What ever that means.)
My interpretation: D4 announcement in June, shipment in August. D800 announcement in August, shipment in September.

البته با توجه به عرضه d7000 با 16mp و بر اساس منطق دو دوتا چهار تایی، احتمال نظریه دوم بیشتره که حداقل 20mp باشه ....

پ.ن: اما از این نکته هم نباید غافل شد که بازی تکنولوژی نیکون ، به عملکرد سونی وابسته است
-همچنین با توجه به عوامل بیرونی و جهانی وترفند های تبلیغاتی و... (ژانگولر) ممکن هست هر چیزی رخ بده تا جاییکه شاید موقع معرفی رسمی اینو ببینیم 40mp ( البته این احتمال خیلی خیلی پایین هست چیزی در حدود یک میلیونیوم یک اپسیلون)

هنوز نکس 5 نیومده که منابع زیادی اعلام کردن نکس 7 توراهه!فیلم برداریش مثله نکس پنجه ، بدنه ی بزرگتر و با ارگونومی بهتری داره ، نمایشگر OLED داره ، احتمالن لرزشگیرش داخل بدنه هست ، عملکرد ایزوی بهتری داره و آخر اینکه گفته شده قبل از A77 (احتمالن ماه مارس) عرضه میشه (البته خیلیا هم گفتن که تو سپتامبر میاد).

شایعاتی منتشر شده از عرضه دوربین فیلمبرداری فوق حرفه ای سونی ( سری Cine Alta ) با رزلوشن 8K یعنی سنسوری با ابعاد 8765 در 2324 پیکسل که حدودا یک سنسور 20 مگاپیکسل خواهد بود ( البته سنسوری برای تصویربرداری و نه عکاسی!! ) احتمالا این دوربین در نمایشگاه National Association of Broadcasters یا NAB عرضه خواهد شد.
