Benefits of the digital interface
A conventional graphic board converts digital into analog signals and transmits them to the monitor via an appropriate VGA cable. In the case of a LCD monitor with a digital panel, the video signals are reconverted in the monitor. Each conversion process may mean errors or loss of picture quality. In addition, considerably more effort is required with digital interface devices to reproduce the picture in a good standard of quality and geometry. The picture may also have to be readjusted "manually". With a digital control this is unnecessary. The entire picture is transmitted pixel by pixel in digital form. Geometry, cycle or phase settings are no longer required here. This greatly relieves the use
