    NOT FOR DX. On DX, the 35mm f/1.8 G DX does the same thing for one-tenth the price, with a lot less weight and a better filter size. Neither of these G lenses work on manual-focus film cameras. For them, use the Nikon 35mm f/1.4 AI-s instead. For rich people, this lens works swell on DX, but no better than the 35/1.8 DX does.

    Good: Nikon's sharpest 35mm lens ever, but only apparent at large apertures.

    Bad: Very expensive, and 99% the same optically as every other 35mm lens or zoom for most purposes at normal apertures.

    Buy this lens only for 35mm film or FX.

    This 35mm f/1.4 G AF-S is a very expensive professional FX and 35mm film lens. It costs ten times as much as the 35mm f/1.8 DX, which does exactly the same thing on DX.

    If you get this 35mm f/1.4, you don't need to carry the 24mm f/1.4 G and 50mm f/1.4 G AF-S at the same time, because they are so close in focal length. Bring only this 35/1.4 and the 85mm f/1.4 G AF-S. If you bring the 24mm f/1.4 G and 50mm f/1.4, leave the 35mm f/1.4 back at the studio. It's always a good idea to own all this, but an even better idea to carry as little as possible when you go out.

    بسته بندی لنز در حد ضد انفجاری

    وین یت قابل توجه در بازترین دیاف (بخصوص روی فول فریم)
    .... و CA پیچیده , مشابه 35 اف 1.8

    Pros:

    * high build quality,
    * record resolution results on stopping down the aperture,
    * slight distortion,
    * silent and accurate autofocus,
    * rich accessory kit.

    Cons:

    * not useful maximum relative aperture,
    * high chromatic aberration,
    * huge vignetting on full frame,
    * significant coma,
    * noticeable astigmatism,
    * weak price/quality ratio.

    The mere comparison between the number of pros and cons and one glance at the price of the tested lens shows that our summary can’t be positive. If you buy an expensive, fast fixed-focal lens you have every right to expect resolution records and the Nikkor 1.4/35 provides these. However, you don’t expect weak quality of the maximum relative aperture, high level of chromatic aberration, significant coma and noticeable astigmatism along with huge vignetting. These all flaws we get here as well. Who would you recommend this lens to? Certainly not to the users of small DX sensor – in their case it would be much sensible if they got interested in the Nikkor AF-S 35 mm f/1.8 DX or the Sigma 30 mm f/1.4 DG HSM. These two lenses are optically on par with the tested Nikkor being definitely cheaper at the same time.

    Nikon 35mm ƒ/1.8G DX ~$200
    While it's not technically a full-frame lens, hard vignetting only shows up in medium to long distances, or when the lens is stopped down. It's actually sharper and offers better performance for CA at the wider apertures than the ƒ/1.4, while having about the same distortion and light falloff. The largest advantage is price, being orders of magnitude less expensive than the ƒ/1.4 - you pay a lot for the extra 2/3 stop of light-gathering ability.

    .......
    .......

    Conclusion
    For this lens, it comes down to essentially one qualification. If you're a Nikon shooter who needs the absolute fastest 35mm lens, either for light-gathering ability or for the ability to put the background way out of focus, then for $1,800 it's either the Carl Zeiss or the Nikon 35mm ƒ/1.4G. It's not perfect - we had hoped that $1,800 would buy a bit sharper performance at ƒ/1.4 - an aperture this lens will probably spend most of its time set to - but it's still very good, and when stopped down a bit, becomes quite excellent indeed.
