1) Extreme Close-Up
This part represents your head starting from your lips. It's one of the hardest shot for a photographer, as long as you're not Henri Cartier-Bresson ; don't try to go in there. (If you don't know who he is, don't take any shot except a full shot) If you really want graphic artists to edit your picture; on this case take a head-shot (full close up or wide close up) and let them decide where they should crop.
2) Medium Close-Up
This part represents all of your head, starting from the bottom of your chin. This isn't generally considered as a head shot; since your neck isn't in the composition. The camera would be better on your eye-level all the time; if too high the top of your head will look too big ; if too low your chin will seem too big. In both cases, you'll look uglier then normal. On the other hand, you can change the angle of your head in order to give a direct-look shot.
3) Full close-up
This part generally is a head-shot; it's above your shoulders. If your shoulders are straight until your neck (instead of having an angle) then it can be a little bit below your shoulders. This is once again, a director & photographer & graphic designer needs in order to bring a head-shot composition.
4) Wide Close-up
This is the part above where your breasts are. This is also a head-shot; but it shouldn't include any part of your breasts. Once again; many graphic designers & photographer would prefer this then the full close-up ; and then they can crop the part they don't want.
5) Close Shot
This is the part above your nipples or above the circle around your nipples. Once again, just like the other shots; either the camera should be on your eye level ; or you should look on an angle where your head sees the camera directly. If there is a photographer who is taking your picture, he should be the one who'll rotate ; not you.
6) Medium Close Shot
This is the part starting from your belly button. It is not very important if your arms aren't included in the picture; but if they are, then try to keep them closer to your body.
7) Medium Shot
This is the part above your pelvis ; I know it might sound weird but if you're not very hairy on the pubic section; it's above the hairs or the largest part of your hip. On these kind of shots, I would recommend to include your arms in it by holding anywhere included in the medium shot. (Such as Mona Lisa; even though it's a painting)
8) Medium Full Shot
This is the part above your knees (or in some cases including your knee). Though this kind of shot represents the majority of your body and a great ability for directors & photographer & graphic designers to include a background ; a full shot would be much better and it would be wise to let them decide where they want to crop.
9) Full Shot
Last and the best, the full shot includes all of your body and at least a little bit from the ground. If you have any clothes they should be included, your arms and even your hair should be in it. As it is; "fullly" you must be present in this picture.
10 ) a : Cutting the top of your head from the picture
Please never crop the top of your head, let the director & graphic artist & photographer decide to crop out that part on editing. If it's not extreme or medium close up; your head should be fully included in the picture. (Since this is becoming a head shot afterwards)
10 ) b : The pose
As I mentioned before, you shouldn't be the one that rotates after your pose ; it should be the photographer. If you're taking your pictures; first think about the exact pose you're willing to give and then decide to take the picture.
10 ) c : The face expression
You might always see in movies; photographers saying "you're an animal, you're sexy, you're beautiful, you're innocent etc." ; well actually it's not generally true but the idea is to put you on a mood. If you're willing to be sexy as an example, looking to the camera thinking "I will **** you" or "Will you **** me?" will bring a face expression that will be sexy in half to convince majority of the viewers to think that you're sexy. If you want to be innocent; looking to camera thinking "I'm innocent" or "I haven't done it" will bring a innocent look in your face. Whatever you do; don't go in front of the camera without having a mood. If you're not thinking about anything except taking the shot, or there is nobody trying to motivate you to take a mood then you have a "dead-expression" which is generally not useful for anyone who needs your picture to look at. (Well if your subject is about death, then you can have no moods at all)
